Current Opportunities

ELICOS Teachers – Junior ELICOS Programs (HSP & PSP)
AIL is currently looking for experienced ELICOS teachers who can teach High School Preparation (HSP) Course / Primary School Preparation (PSP) Course 2 - 4 days per week.

AIL offers High School Preparation (HSP) course and Primary School Preparation (PSP) course, which are designed for international students who intend to enrol in Australian secondary/primary schools but require further English language development before meeting entry requirements.

Position: ELICOS HSP & PSP Teacher
Employment type: Casual (Monday - Friday)
Report to: Academic Manager
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm (5 hours of teaching)
Location: AIL Brighton Campus (face-to-face)

Core Requirements
• NEAS recognised qualification in TESOL (CELTA, Master of TESOL etc)
• Bachelor Degree in any discipline
• A deep knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation
• A great passion for teaching
• Working with Children Check
• VIT registration (preferred)

Desired Qualities
• Bachelor, Diploma or Masters in Applied Linguistics, Teaching or Education
• Previous HSP/PSP/ELICOS teaching experience
• NEAS Quality ELT Professionals are highly preferrable • Native proficiency in English
• Some understanding of the ESOS Act, National Code and CRICOS regulations

General Responsibilities
• Teach a variety of HSP/PSP classes face-to-face on campus
• Prepare lesson plans with dynamic activities designed to engage and inspire students
• Focus on supporting and assisting students taking into account students’ individual learner differences and learning styles wherever possible
• Give students regular tests in line with the Assessment Schedule and syllabus
• Follow the learning outcomes detailed in the syllabus • Keep accurate records of students’ attendance and punctuality in accordance with the ESOS Act
• Undertake suitable training and staying up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and resources.
• Attend and participate in teachers meetings as required
• Refer students to other staff such as student services or the Director of Studies when the student has questions/problems that are beyond your expertise or knowledge
• Assess students’ proficiency for their graduation certificates
• Advise students with independent learning strategies outside of the classroom as appropriate
• Contribute to the ongoing development of teaching materials for shared use with other teachers
• Assist the Direct of Studies and Academic Managers on other tasks

Test Invigilator – Box Hill Test Centre
AIL is currently hiring Test invigilators (part-time) at AIL Box Hill test centre.

The Test Invigilator will help ensure the fair, secure, and proper conduct of high-stakes tests in accordance with relevant test protocols, regulations, and operational procedures. The role also involves providing administrative and basic technical support, as well as ensuring compliance with established test delivery guidelines set by the relevant test partners.

Position: Test Invigilator
Employment type: Part-time
Report to: Director of Compliance and Test Operations
Days: We are operating 7 days a week, except some public holidays
Location: AIL Box Hill Test Centre

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the test process
• Follow all relevant procedures, policies, and compliance requirements
• Prepare test rooms, materials, and equipment as required
• Support the delivery of test sessions and candidate check-in processes
• Assist candidates before, during, and after the test
• Perform invigilation duties in line with security and operational standards
• Provide general administrative and basic technical support
• Escalate issues promptly when required
• Complete post-test tasks and related administrative duties
• Support other test centre operations as reasonably required

Qualifications:
• Excellent Communication Skills in English
• Customer Service experience
• Police check required or Work with children check
• Familiar with the IELTS test format and structures
• Social activities/events organization experience
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office • Ability to perform basic diagnosis and troubleshooting of computer software, hardware, peripherals, and computer network
• Understand and commit to maintaining appropriate standards of confidentiality and security of materials
• Understand the importance of criteria and protocol related to assessment, and test administration
• Dependability, reliability, punctuality
• Appreciation and understanding of differences in cultural communication styles
• Availability to work at least two weekdays or weekend
